The QR code will not scan
Hold the phone steady and square on, then fall back to typing your page address; the code is just a shortcut to it.
The code is only a shortcut to your page link. It holds the address anyrequests.app/ followed by your page link, the same for every gig. If it will not scan, the page can be reached another way.
Quick fixes at the gig
- Open the phone's camera app and point it at the square. Many phones scan a code with the ordinary camera, without any other app.
- Hold the phone steady, square on to the sheet, and a little back from it until the whole square fits on the screen.
- Make sure the square is in good light and the sheet is flat, not curled or folded across the code.
You will see: a link appear on the phone. Tap it and your request page opens.
If it still will not scan
The address is printed next to the code. Anyone can type it into the phone's browser instead. You can also send the link to someone. In the print pack, Copy the link copies it for a message.
If the link opens, but in the wrong place
Some apps open links in their own small browser. Ask the person to open the page in the phone's own browser. See a link opened inside another app.
If it is your code that is faulty
A code that never scans is usually a printing problem: the wrong size, the wrong link, or a code placed over a colour. See my printed code does not scan.
If the page opens but looks closed
A page that says "Not taking requests right now." means the code is working. Press Go Live.
