Stripe verification is not going through

Stripe checks your details itself, usually at the end of the form; going back into a marked section is normal, and a review can take a while.

Stripe runs the whole set-up form and does the checking. AnyRequests never sees your bank details or your ID. It takes about five minutes, and you only do it once. Have your bank details and a form of ID to hand.

Things that look like faults but are not

  • A section marked invalid at the end. Stripe checks everything at the end, not as you go. Going back into that section to correct it is normal.
  • A window asking you to verify your phone. You are sent to Stripe to verify your phone, then brought back. If your browser asks, allow popups. If nothing happened, look for a blocked popup notice in the address bar and allow it. Stripe asks once per device, so a second phone or laptop will ask again.

Steps

  1. Tap Tips in the main menu, then Setup.
  2. Work through the form. If a section is marked, open it and fix what Stripe points to.
  3. Submit the form again at the end.

You will see: "Stripe is reviewing your details". It says you have sent everything Stripe asked for, and that you do not need to fill anything in again.

While it is under review

The page changes on its own when the review finishes. If it seems stuck, it says "Still waiting on Stripe. This usually sorts itself out." Tap Check now. If nothing has changed it says "Nothing has changed yet. Stripe can take a few minutes."

The account was created but the screen has not caught up

You may see "Your payment account was created. This screen has not caught up yet." Tap Continue setting up. It does not create a second account.

When it is done

The heading changes to You can be tipped, and your tip button is live on your page. Payouts start once Stripe has finished verifying you.

Still not working

Email hello@anyrequests.app and say which section is marked. Questions about a document Stripe rejected need Stripe's own help, because only Stripe sees it.
