The payments panel will not open
The panel on the Tips screen is Stripe's; a blocker, a poor connection or a cached copy can stop it, and Try again usually helps.
The Stripe forms on the Tips screen are Stripe's own, shown inside AnyRequests. If one does not appear, the screen says why.
What each message means
| What it says | What to do |
|---|---|
| Stripe could not be reached. If you are on a private network or using a content blocker, that is the usual reason. | Turn off any content blocker for AnyRequests, or move off a work or school network, then tap Try again. |
| Something went wrong at our end opening the payments panel. Please try again in a moment. | Wait a moment, then tap Try again. |
| That took longer than expected. Check your connection, then reload this page before trying again. | Get a better signal, reload the page, and go to the Setup tab. |
| The payments panel could not be opened. Please try again in a moment. | Tap Try again. |
| Payments are not switched on yet at our end. Please contact us. | Email us. There is nothing to fix on your side. |
Steps
- Tap Tips in the main menu, then Setup.
- If you see a message and Try again, tap it.
- If it fails again, switch from mobile data to wifi, or the other way round, and tap Try again.
- Turn off content blockers and private browsing tools for AnyRequests, then reload.
You will see: the Stripe form, headed Your details, or your Stripe account details if you are already set up.
Two things that look like faults
- Stripe may ask you to sign in again on a new device. See Stripe asks me to sign in again.
- Stripe may open a small window to verify your phone. If nothing appears, your browser has blocked the popup. Look for a blocked popup notice in the address bar and allow it.
