HelpTips, payouts and fees

Reading Overview, All tips and Documents

The Tips screen has four tabs: Overview for this month's money, Payouts, Documents for statements and invoices, and Setup.

Open Tips in the main menu. Along the top are four tabs: Overview, Payouts, Documents and Setup.

Overview

Until your first tip arrives, Overview says No tips yet. After that it shows, from the top:

  • This month: You received is the big figure, what reached you after fees. The audience paid is underneath. A line under them depends on who pays the fees. If the audience covers them, it says how much they covered this month. Otherwise it says the difference is the card fees and our fee, and points you to a tip's details.
  • The rate: "AnyRequests takes 4% of each tip." and "Card fees are charged separately by Stripe."
  • Next payout: when the next payout is expected. See When you get paid.
  • Recent tips: your five most recent. Press See all tips to open the whole list.
  • Last month and All time, each with You received and The audience paid.

If you also sell requests, the list is headed Recent payments and a small line splits tips from requests.

All tips

  1. On Overview, press See all tips.
  2. Under Show, choose a period: Last four weeks (the first one shown), This month, Last month, This year or All time.
  3. Read the totals at the top: You received, The audience paid, Fees, and Refunded if there is one.
  4. Tap a tip to open it.

You will see: for that tip, what they paid, whether they covered the fees, Stripe's card fee, our fee, what you received, the gig, the songs they asked for and how many were played. A refunded tip is struck through and marked Refunded.

The list shows the 50 most recent. Choose a shorter period to see the rest. If Stripe has not yet confirmed its card fee for a tip, the row says so. It usually lands within a minute.

At the foot is Disputes and bank queries. An empty list is the normal state. See You owe Stripe money.

Documents

  • Your AnyRequests account number sits at the top.
  • Your AnyRequests fee statements list one statement for each month. Press Open, then Download PDF to save a one-page PDF you can send to an accountant. Your first one arrives once your first month with tips has finished.
  • Stripe's tax invoices are Stripe's own invoices and account documents. Stripe also emails them to you.

Payouts and Setup

Payouts is Stripe's own panel for money on its way to your bank. Setup holds your bank and business details. See Setting up Stripe.
