What AnyRequests takes

AnyRequests takes 4% of each tip, with no subscription, and Stripe's own card fee is separate.

AnyRequests takes 4% of each tip. There is no subscription, and nothing to pay to sign up.

The two fees

FeeWho charges itSize
Platform feeAnyRequests4% of the whole card payment, to the nearest penny
Card feeStripeabout 1.5% plus 20p on a UK card

Stripe's card fee is separate from ours. A card from outside the UK costs a few pence more, and you pay the difference. Who bears each fee depends on your choice: see Who pays the fee.

A £5 tip

  • The audience covers the fee. They pay £5.50. Stripe takes about 28p, AnyRequests takes 22p (4% of £5.50), and you receive £5.00.
  • You cover the fee. They pay £5. Stripe takes about 28p, AnyRequests takes 20p, and you receive about £4.52.

Where you see it

  • Tips, Overview: the line "AnyRequests takes 4% of each tip." and, beneath it, "Card fees are charged separately by Stripe."
  • Open a tip in All tips and you see what they paid, whether they covered the fees, Stripe's card fee, our fee, and what you received.
  • Documents holds your AnyRequests fee statements, one for each month. They show what we charged you. Every fee was taken at the time of each payment, so there is never anything to pay. Each statement can be saved as a one-page PDF to send to an accountant.
  • On the Dashboard, Tips, last four weeks has a breakdown showing Card fee and AnyRequests fee.

Refunds

If you give a tip back in full, our fee comes back with it. Stripe does not return its card fee. See Refunding a tip.

Waived fees

Some accounts have the platform fee waived. It only applies where you would otherwise pay the fee yourself. It never applies when the audience covers the fee. If yours is waived, Overview says AnyRequests takes no fee on your tips.

The same 4% applies to any requests you sell. Selling requests is part of Pro, which is coming soon.
