Why does my payout say Stripe and not AnyRequests?

Stripe moves the money into your bank account, so Stripe's name is on the transfer, but you can add your own reference.

Stripe moves the money into your bank account, so Stripe's name is on the transfer. We cannot change that, and no app using Stripe can. On your bank statement it shows as Stripe Payments UK.

You can set your own reference on the Tips screen, under Payout statement descriptor, and most banks will show it alongside the payment.

To add your reference

  1. Open Tips in the main menu, then the Setup tab.
  2. Find the panel headed Your details. It is Stripe's form, and above it a line says "Payouts arrive from Stripe."
  3. Scroll to the foot of Stripe's panel.
  4. Find Payout statement descriptor and type the reference you want to see.
  5. Follow Stripe's prompts to save it.

You will see: your reference in Stripe's panel. After a payout, look for it on your bank statement.

The receiving bank decides what it displays. Some banks show nothing extra at all. If your bank does not show your reference, the payment still comes from Stripe Payments UK.

Matching a payout to Overview

Overview shows Next payout with the amount and the expected date. If an amount from Stripe Payments UK matches it, that is your payout. See When you get paid.
