Blocking, pausing and reporting

Block one phone for the rest of a gig, pause all new requests, or report a request so it is kept for us to look at; they are three different things.

Which one to use

You want toUse
Stop one phone sending anything else this gigBlock
Stop all new requests for a whileTaking requests off
Say a request should not have been sentReport this

Reporting does nothing to whoever sent it. It is not a stronger block.

Block a phone

  1. On the live screen, tap the song title or the names under a request card.
  2. A panel opens listing everyone who asked for that song. Tap the no-entry mark on the one you want.
  3. Read Block this device? and tap Block.

You will see: the message Blocked.

  • A block is for this gig only. It ends with the gig and a new gig starts with nobody blocked.
  • That phone cannot send anything else. What it already sent stays in your queue.
  • The audience member sees a plain message that requests from their phone are not going through for the rest of this gig.
  • To undo it, tap the same mark and tap Unblock. They can send again straight away.

A block is on the phone, not the person. A shared or cleared phone can look like someone new.

Pause new requests

  1. Tap Room controls.
  2. Switch Taking requests off.

Your queue stays, and the audience can still vote and tip. Switch it back on to take new requests. See Room controls.

Report a request

  1. Tap the song title or names on the card to open the panel.
  2. Tap Report this.
  3. If more than one person asked for the song, choose Which one are you reporting?
  4. Type what is wrong, if you want to. This is optional and holds up to 300 characters.
  5. Tap Report it.

You will see: Reported. We will look at it.

You can report during the gig and for three hours after it ends. Only you can report. The audience cannot report each other.

What is kept

On every other request, the name typed is deleted three hours after the gig ends. The song and a random code for the phone that sent it are kept.

A reported request is kept whole, with the name and your reason, for twelve months so we can look at it. After twelve months the name is deleted. See what happens to the audience's names and the privacy policy.
