Anything or My list only
Anything lets the audience ask for any song; My list only limits them to the songs you have added, and needs at least 20 songs.
Change it for every gig
- Tap Songs at the bottom of the screen.
- Find What the audience can request.
- Tap Anything or My list only.
You will see: the button you tapped is pressed in, and the line under it changes. There is no Save button. It saves as soon as you tap.
What each one does
| Choice | What the audience can do |
|---|---|
| Anything | They can ask for any song. Songs on your list are marked so they know what you are likely to play. |
| My list only | They can only pick from your list. They get a button to browse your selected songs. |
My list only needs 20 songs
Your whole song list must hold at least 20 songs. Songbooks do not count towards the 20.
With fewer than 20, My list only is greyed out. The line under the buttons says you need at least 20 songs and shows how many you have.
Once My list only is on, you cannot delete songs if that would take you below 20. The message tells you to switch to Anything first.
If you start a gig from a songbook
On the Go Live form you can pick a songbook under My song list. With My list only, the audience can then only ask for songs in that book. A song outside the book is turned away, even if someone types its exact title. If you pick All songs, your whole list is the rule.
Requests already in your queue are not changed when a gig starts or when you switch.
For one gig only
The Go Live form has the same two buttons under What the audience can request. Changing them there affects that gig only. Your Songs tab choice stays as it was.
If your usual choice is My list only but you have fewer than 20 songs, Go Live starts that gig on Anything and tells you why.
The setup you go through when you first sign up asks the same question under Requests, with the same 20 song rule.
