Public and private gigs
A private gig is a wedding, party or function; its requests never pass to another act, and you choose which way Go Live starts.
What counts as private
A private gig is a wedding, a party, a function, or anything else not open to the public. A pub or bar gig is public.
What a private gig does differently
- Its requests never pass to another act. See Sharing and handover between acts.
- They never join what the venue is known for.
- Its songs still count, without names, towards what musicians see asked for everywhere, and towards its kind of occasion.
Set what Go Live starts on
- Tap Setup at the bottom of the screen.
- Find the row Private gigs and tap its name to read the explanation.
- Switch it on if most of your gigs are private.
You will see: the switch moves and a short line confirms it. There is no Save button.
This only decides which way the switch on the Go Live form starts. Leave it off if you mostly play pubs and bars. Changing it does not alter a gig that is already running or one that has finished.
Change it for one gig
- Open the Go Live form.
- Find Private gig, just under What the audience can request.
- Switch it on or off.
When it is on, a What kind list appears. Choose from Wedding, Birthday, Anniversary, Funeral or memorial, Corporate, Christmas or seasonal party, or Other. You can leave it as Choose one.
The form explains the switch as: a wedding, a party, a function. Its requests never pass to another act.
This applies to that gig only. Your Private gigs setting on Setup is not changed.
