Let AI build a songbook
Describe the gig and AI picks a songbook from songs already on your list. Nothing is saved until you check it.
AI only picks from songs you already have. It never invents songs you do not have.
Steps
- Open Songs, then Songbooks.
- Tap New book, then Describe the gig.
- In About the gig, write as much or as little as you like. Where, what sort of place, how busy, what age, what mood. The link Not sure what to say? lists the questions. You can also tap one of the examples, or tap Dictate to speak it, if your device allows it.
- In Anything to avoid?, name songs or artists to leave out.
- Tap Build the book.
- Check the result, untick anything you do not want, give it a name, and tap Save this book.
You will see: Saved followed by the name of your book. It is now in your Songbooks list.
While it builds
It usually takes fifteen to thirty seconds, sometimes a minute. You can lock your phone or use the rest of the app. It carries on and the book will be waiting. A counter shows the seconds so far.
Checking it
The review says Check before you save and AI chose these from the 120 songs on your list. Nothing is saved until you press Save. Use Tick all or Untick all, or type in the filter to find a song to untick. A short book gets a warning, which you can ignore.
Songs left out because of your avoid box are listed under Left out because you said to avoid them. Tap Put back if one was left out by mistake. Try again builds a new one.
What you need
At least 10 songs on your list, or it says to add a few more first. Each box takes up to 2,000 characters.
What is sent, and the limits
Your description and your song list, up to 2,000 songs, are sent to AI. If you name a venue, the songs most asked for there may be sent too. If little is known about the venue, the AI may search the web for it. That sends the venue name, not your description. The review tells you if the venue was looked up. See privacy.
Each build uses a credit. The limits are 8 an hour, 20 a day and 60 in 30 days.
