Queue order
The chip at the right of the counts row sets the order of your queue, with five orders and a switch to keep songs asked by several phones at the top.
Change the order
- On the live screen, find the small chip at the right-hand end of the row of counts. It shows the order in use, for example Oldest first.
- Tap it. A menu headed Queue order opens.
- Tap an order.
- To keep songs asked by several phones at the top, tap Multiple requests to the top. A tick shows when it is on.
You will see: the queue reorders straight away, and the chip shows the new order.
The five orders
| Order | What it does |
|---|---|
| Most requested | Songs asked for by the most phones come first. |
| Oldest first | The order the songs joined the queue. |
| Newest first | The most recent new song first. |
| Song title A to Z | Alphabetical by title. |
| Artist A to Z | Alphabetical by artist. A song with no artist known goes last. |
If a request names an act and no song, the act counts as the artist.
What the top switch does
With Multiple requests to the top on, songs asked for by more than one phone sit above songs asked for by one, with the highest count first. Your chosen order then decides the rest.
You start on Oldest first with Multiple requests to the top on. That puts the most asked songs first, then the oldest.
Good to know
- Only you see the order. It does not change what your audience sees.
- It follows your account, so a phone and an iPad show the same order.
- A phone that sends the same song twice counts once.
- Money plays no part in the order. A tip or a purchase never moves a song up.
