HelpThe audience's side

My request isn't showing

The request page lists only the five most requested songs, and only if you have the lists on, so a sent request may well be in your queue without being on the page.

If the page said "Request sent"

Then the request reached you. The audience page does not list every request. It is built to show a few songs, not a full queue, and it never shows a name. The request is in your queue on your screen, or in your Held back panel if it had a word on our language filter.

These are the reasons a sent song is not on the page. A song in the top five that has been played stays in the list with a Played tag.

  1. Only five songs show. Most requested so far lists the five songs with the most phones behind them. A song with only a few phones behind it may not make the five.
  2. Fewer than three requests so far. Until three requests have come in at the gig, the page shows Popular (songs your audiences ask for) instead of the live list.
  3. You turned the lists off. You can switch off Most requested so far and Popular. See The lists under the request form.
  4. Swear words. A request with a common swear word is kept off the lists the audience sees, and it waits in your Held back panel instead of the queue.
  5. You skipped it. A song you skipped without playing is taken off both lists for the rest of that gig. Undo brings it back.
  6. The page has not caught up. It checks about every ten seconds.

If they cannot tell whether it went

After sending, the page shows Request sent, and the Request another song button. If they see an error instead, it went nowhere:

If they come back to the page later and nothing of theirs has been played, a short note says: Still in the queue. There are a lot of requests. It appears once, then goes. It asks for nothing.

If a request is missing from your own screen

That is a different problem. See A request did not appear.
