What is AnyRequests?
AnyRequests lets your audience send song requests from their phones to your screen while you play.
AnyRequests gets song requests from the room to you without anyone shouting. Your audience scans a code, picks a song and can say who it is for. The request lands on your screen while you play.
How a request travels
- You set up your page and print a code for the tables.
- Your audience scans the code with their phone camera. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.
- They search for a song, add a name if they like, and send it.
- It appears on your screen. You tap Played or Skip.
Anyone can add a vote to a song that has already been asked for.
You choose what they can ask for
- Anything: they can search for any song.
- My list only: they can only pick from the songs you have added. This needs at least 20 songs on your list.
You do not need to add any songs before your first gig. With none added, your audience can ask for anything.
Tips
Tips are optional. They go into your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays them into your bank every Friday. Each payment is held for seven days first, so a tip usually reaches your bank one to two weeks after the gig.
A tip is a thank you. It never buys a song or moves one up the queue, and the tip screen tells your audience so. You decide what to play.
What it costs
AnyRequests is free to use. We take 4% of tips. Stripe takes its own card fee as well. There is no subscription. See who pays the fee for how the two fees are shared.
Signal
AnyRequests runs in the browser. It opens without a signal to the last queue it saw, but sending and receiving requests needs a connection.
Where to go next
Follow setting up in five minutes to make your page, or try it as the audience to see a request arrive first.
