Setting up your page, screen by screen

A new account is taken through twelve short setup screens, and only the first one cannot be skipped.

Before the screens

  1. Go to the sign-up page and fill in your act name, your page link, your email, and a password of at least 8 characters, typed twice.
  2. Tick that you agree to the terms and have read the privacy policy, and that you are 18 or over.
  3. Press Create My Page, then open the confirmation link we email you. If it does not arrive, look in your junk folder.

You will see: the setup screens, with "Step 1 of 12" at the top.

The twelve screens

Each screen has Next. Most also have Skip and Back. Your answers on a screen are saved when you press Next.

  1. Your act: your act name, the name on the tip button (up to 24 characters), and your page link. This screen has no Skip. Next waits until all three are filled in, and tells you what is still needed.
  2. Get paid for tips: starts Stripe. It is free to set up and takes about five minutes. You can go live without it, and requests work straight away. Tips only appear on your page once Stripe is connected.
  3. Your code: your QR code and page address. Save the code to your phone, or open the print pack.
  4. Your songs: add songs by photo, PDF, pasted list, CSV, Excel, Word, or one at a time. Skip it and your audience can ask for anything.
  5. Requests: Anything or My list only.
  6. Request limit: how many requests one phone can send every five minutes. Tight (2), Balanced (4), Relaxed (8), or any number from 1 to 30.
  7. How you play: Solo, Duo or trio or Band, and Live instruments or Backing tracks.
  8. Public or private gigs: which kind most of your gigs are. You can change it for any gig.
  9. Page colours: theme, accent and font.
  10. Header: an optional logo, header photo and tagline.
  11. Your links: optional links to your music and socials.
  12. Ready to go live: what is still to do. Press Finish.

From screen 5 onwards there is also Skip the rest. It ends setup and marks every remaining screen as skipped.

You will see: your dashboard, with a Go Live button.

Afterwards

Anything you skipped stays on the Setup checklist on your dashboard. See the Setup checklist. To go through the screens again with your answers filled in, open Settings and press Run setup again.
