Try it as the audience

The demo at anyrequests.app/try is the real request page for an invented act, so you can send a request and see it land.

What the demo is

The page at anyrequests.app/try is the real audience request page, for an invented act called Sam Whitlock, at an invented pub, The Red Lion. It uses the real screens and the real wording. Only the answers are made up.

A line at the top says: "Demo: nothing you send is kept, and no money can move."

To try it

  1. On the AnyRequests home page, go to the section called Go on, be the audience.
  2. On a computer, scan the code with your own phone camera. It opens the demo on your phone. Or use the phone shown on the page.
  3. Search for a song and press Send Request.
  4. Look at Your screen, the musician's side, next to it. Your request is there. Tap Played.

On a small screen, use the Their phone and Your screen tabs to switch between the two.

You can also open anyrequests.app/try directly. That shows the audience page on its own.

You will see: your request on the musician's screen a moment after you send it.

What is different from a real gig

  • Nothing you send is kept.
  • You can send five songs. After that the demo says "That's five songs for this demo."
  • The tip screen is there, but no money can move. It says "This is a demo. No money can move here."
  • The act, the pub and the songs are invented.
  • When you open anyrequests.app/try directly, a link at the foot, What is AnyRequests?, takes you back to the AnyRequests home page.

To see your own page

Your own audience page is at anyrequests.app/ followed by your page link. Open View my live page in the menu to see it. While you edit your page in Setup, a live preview shows how it will look. See the live preview.
