Changing your email or password
Both are in Settings under Account; a new email changes only after you tap the confirmation link, and a new password needs at least 8 characters.
Change your email address
- Open the menu and tap Settings, then Account.
- Under Change email address, type the new address.
- Tap Update email.
- Open the email sent to the new address, subject Confirm your new AnyRequests email, and tap its link. If you are also sent one at your current address, follow that link too.
You will see: "Confirmation sent to" your new address. "Your address changes once you follow that link."
Your old address keeps working until you have followed the link or links. The same screen shows "Signed in as" and your current address at the top.
If the screen says "That is already your email address.", you typed the one you have. If it says "Please enter a valid email address.", check for a missing @ or dot.
Change your password
- Open Settings, then Account.
- Under Change password, type the new password.
- Type it again in Confirm new password.
- Tap Update password.
You will see: "Password updated. Your other devices stay signed in."
The password must be at least 8 characters. If the two boxes differ you see "Those two passwords do not match."
If you have forgotten your password
You cannot reach Settings if you cannot log in. Use Forgotten your password? on the log in page instead. The reset link lasts one hour. See password reset email not arrived.
Good to know
- If someone from AnyRequests is helping with your account, the Account section is hidden for the duration, so it never shows or changes theirs by mistake.
- Marketing emails are a separate choice. See emails we send.
