Glossary of AnyRequests words
A short list of the names AnyRequests uses, from Accent to Worth learning, with what each one means.
Accent: the highlight colour on your audience page. Each theme has three to choose from.
Anything: a request setting. Your audience can search for any song.
Audience: everyone who sends you requests from their phones.
Chords: the button on a song card that opens the chart link you saved. If you play with backing tracks it says Lyrics.
Dashboard: the first screen after you sign in. It has the Setup card and your figures.
Go Live: the button that starts a gig. It opens the Start a gig form, then the live screen.
Handover: if another act goes live at the same venue within three hours of you finishing, they see the requests you played and the ones you did not get to. Nothing joins their queue unless they tick it. Nothing about money is passed on. Private gigs take no part.
Header photo: an optional photo behind the top of your audience page.
Highlight: a way to show up to three of your links as small icons at the top of your page.
Live preview: a mock-up of your audience page that updates as you edit in Setup. It uses sample songs.
Live screen: what you see during a gig, with the queue and the Played and Skip buttons.
My list only: a request setting. Your audience can only pick from your songs. It needs at least 20 songs on your list.
Name on the tip button: the short name your audience sees, such as "Tip Adele". Up to 24 characters.
Page link: the end of your web address, as in anyrequests.app/yourname. It is the address on your printed code.
Played and Skip: the two buttons on each request card.
Print pack: the posters, table cards and code you can print. Open it from Share and print in the menu.
Private gig and public gig: a private gig, such as a wedding, never passes requests on and never joins a venue's list. A public gig can.
Pro: a second plan that is being prepared and is not on sale yet. See Standard and Pro.
Queue: the requests waiting on your live screen.
Request limit: how many requests one phone can send every five minutes. Tight is 2, Balanced is 4, Relaxed is 8, or choose any number from 1 to 30.
Room controls: the panel on the live screen for a message, a break, stopping new requests, and the limit and money controls for that gig only.
Setup: the screen where you change your page and its settings. It is also the name of the percentage card on your dashboard.
Songbook: a smaller list picked from your main song list, for example one for weddings. You pick one when you go live.
Standard: the plan every account starts on.
Stripe: the payment company that takes tips and pays them into your bank.
Tagline: a short line under your name on your page. Up to 120 characters.
Theme: the overall look of your audience page. There are seven.
Tip: a thank you from someone in the audience. It never buys a song or moves it up the queue.
Tips: the tab where you set up Stripe and see your tips.
Venue dot: a coloured dot on the Go Live form. Green means your phone places you at the venue. Blue means near it. Amber means no position yet. Red means a long way from where the venue is saved. It never stops you going live.
Worth learning: songs you were asked for and skipped, that you have never played and are not in your songbook, most requested first.
